What to know
A member of our care team will call you shortly before your scheduled appointment to clarify information and send you a link to your video call. “PIVOT TELECERT” will appear on your caller ID. Please answer our call to avoid a delay in service.
Your Simply healthcare provider will join your video call promptly at the time you scheduled. Please make sure you are logged into the call at least three minutes before the scheduled time. We value your time and promise to make this process quick and simple! .
Please tell your Simply healthcare professional if you are a parent or guardian calling on behalf of another patient.
Please tell your Simply healthcare professional if you have a terminal illness so that we can submit a waiver to the allowable THC limits per Iowa state law.
Getting your card,the next step
- Your Simply Healthcare Provider will provide you with a written/electronic certificate of eligibility so that you can apply for your card.
- You will submit your certificate along with an application for your medical card on Iowa’s HHS site //hhs.iowa.gov/health-prevention/medical-cannabis. The fee for this registration is typically $100 but for patients receiving SSDI or enrolled in a medical assistance program, the fee is $25. You will receive a digital card to your email address when this has been processed.
- Call our care team if we can help you navigate the application process online. Your Simply Healthcare Provider is available for follow up calls any time after your first appointment. Please call with any questions or to discuss effective dosage or a possible recommendation for increased limits. There is no charge for your first follow up call. (recertifications don’t qualify as follow ups) Iowa requires recertification every year. If you’re happy with our services, please call us for your next certification. In the meantime, be sure to participate in our recert referral program. Our fee to recertify with us the first time is $125 but you can receive a $5 voucher to use with your next recertification for every qualified referral you send our way - no limit to the number of discount vouchers you may earn toward your next call with Simply Medical Cards!
